Have You Heard of the Akashic Records?

Updated: Jul 29, 2022

Hello beautiful soul!

If you haven't already heard of the Akashic Records or want to gain a deeper understanding of them, this is the post for you.

We'll delve into what they are, how they work, how you can access them, and what you can learn from them.

So what exactly are the Akashic Records?

The Akashic Records are an exciting space that contain every bit of knowledge of your entire existence. This includes every thought you've ever thought, every sight you've ever seen, every dream you've ever dreamed, and every feeling you've ever felt.

Notice that I said "existence" and not "life." That's because the Akashic Records pertain to every life you've ever lived, and not just the life you're living right now.

If that explanation wasn't clear enough, you can think of the Akashic Records as a library that stores all the information about your entire existence, both on and off of earth. Yes, that includes the "in between lives" phase.

How can you access the Akashic records?

There are 2 options. The first one is to do it yourself by entering a deep meditative state that will reveal the records to you (upon setting the intention), and the second one is to see an intuitive (or reader, or psychic, or whatever you wanna call it) to access them. There are some readers that even specialize in Akashic readings.

What can you not learn from the Akashic records?

Since the records are like a database, you can only ask questions that pertain to your past or your present. You cannot ask any questions about the future, although some readers may be able to share relevant info about your future that they pick up during an Akashic reading. This depends on the reader you are seeing as everyone's style and capabilities are different.

I don't recommend asking questions about soul contracts because I actually don't believe they are real. I used to think they may be, until I heard Abraham Hicks (infinite intelligence channeled through Esther Hicks) say that we do not have any pre-destined meetings although we do come forth in soul clusters.

This means that if you do ask a question about a soul contract, you will receive information that reflects the life you've manifested and are currently manifesting. However, that doesn't mean that asking why you met someone is a bad question. However you choose to word it, you can still learn valuable information when you ask about your relationship to another.

The same thing applies to past lives. Whatever info you get about a past life is matching up with the vibration you are currently emitting. There is no such thing as bad karma from past lives, so you are not currently being punished for anything you did in a past life.

I don't want to get too off topic, but this doesn't mean that learning about past lives and doing past life regressions are invaluable. What is revealed to us is often revealed so we can be healed. So if you have to learn about or sit through a memory of, say, drowning, to let go of a current trauma, that is an effective method.

Most importantly, avoid questions that start with "should" or "when." This is because such questions point to future actions.

What should you ask at an Akashic reading?

If you do decide to get an Akashic reading, it's important to show up with some questions prepared beforehand. What's exciting is that you can ask legitimately anything you want to know about yourself, including why you had specific dreams, why you feel the way you feel about certain events, what memories have been repressed, and what subconscious blockages you have. You can even ask about hidden abilities you're not yet aware of, or get details from some past lives.

You can try to ask with questions that start with "what, how" and "why?" As I mentioned, any question that pertains to the past or the present is fair game.

So for example, don't ask "Will I be rich?" or "Am I destined to be rich?" or "Should I go through with this business ideas?" Instead ask, "What thoughts and actions are holding me back from obtaining abundance?" or "How can I best align myself with business opportunities that will serve my highest good?"

Sample questions to ask the Akashic records:

  1. Why did I choose this incarnation for this lifetime? You can specify if you want to know why you chose the city, family, or physical body you were born into, or all of the above.

  2. How can I best develop my psychic abilities/connect with my spirit guides?

  3. What current thoughts and habits are holding me back from living to my fullest potential?

  4. What feelings/limiting beliefs/negative patterns are holding me back?

  5. Where did this feeling/limiting belief/negative pattern originate?

  6. How can I best release this feeling/limiting belief/negative pattern?

  7. Is this job/activity/person aligned with my highest good?

  8. What is this specific challenge teaching me?

  9. Why have I not yet found my dream job?

  10. Why have I not yet met the love of my life?

  11. What personality and traits in a lover are most suitable for me?

  12. What personality and traits in a friend are most suitable for me?

  13. Why do I feel so anxious/angry/depressed when _________?

  14. What unhealed emotion is this physical ailment a manifestation of?

  15. Where did that emotion originate?

  16. Are there any specific places in the world that currently contain beneficial energy and potential for me?

  17. Is there anything else my higher self thinks I should know?

Remember, your reading is tailored to you, so you can go as general or specific as you want. It's a good idea to start with fairly general questions and then ask for more insights about the new questions those answers leave you with.

Trust that everything that is revealed to you is revealed in divine timing, and be prepared to discover some profound and surprising stuff!

Take care,
